Sukoon Takaful PJSC (formerly: Arabian Scandinavian Insurance Co. - ASCANA) is a prominent insurance company operating in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Founded in 1978, it was incorporated under the Amiri decree. In 2005, it became a nationally owned company and was listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM). In 2015, it became the world's first to fully adopt Takaful principles. In 2022, it embarked on a digital transformation journey. In 2023, it was acquired by Sukoon Insurance and rebranded as 'Sukoon Takaful'. In 2024, its legal name was officially changed to Sukoon Takaful PJSC. Sukoon Takaful provides a wide range of comprehensive insurance solutions to more than 830,000 individuals and commercial clients. Their offerings cover various areas, including motor, life, healthcare, general property, energy, engineering, aviation, marine, and liability insurance. The company operates across all Emirates in the UAE as well as in Oman. Takaful products are designed in line with Sharia principles. Sukoon Takaful is supported by reputable partners such as Swiss Re, Munich Re, and Allianz.
