Abu Dhabi National Takaful Co. (ADNTC) was founded in November 2003 to offer takaful insurance solutions tailored to the regional market. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, the company operates across the UAE, with offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Dubai. ADNTC is licensed by the Ministry of Economy & Commerce and was the first takaful operator in Abu Dhabi. It became a public shareholding company with a paid-up capital of AED 100 million and was listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) in April 2005 under the symbol TKFL. In August 2016, A.M. Best upgraded ADNTC's financial strength rating to A- (Excellent), the highest rating given to a takaful operator globally. This upgrade reflects the company's excellent risk-adjusted capitalization, strong technical performance, and leading market position in the UAE. ADNTC's operations and investments comply with Islamic Shari'a principles, overseen by a Shari'a Board of experienced Muslim scholars. The company offers a wide range of Shari'a-compliant takaful products, including motor, fire, marine cargo, marine hull, aviation, general accident, energy, engineering, workmen's compensation, etc. The company recently won the "Takaful Company of the Year" award at the 9th InsureTek Golden Shield Excellence Awards 2024. In conclusion, ADNTC continuously reviews its product offerings to stay at the forefront of the industry and maintains strong relationships with top reinsurers and re-takaful operators.
