However, recent reports indicate that Sweets of Oman SAOG has opted for liquidation due to a deteriorating financial position that could not be resolved within the stipulated timeframe by the Capital Market Authority.

This decision was made after exhaustive efforts to revitalize the company, including attempts to attract investors for partial investment. Despite these efforts, operational challenges and a full stoppage of activities for one and a half years led to this outcome. The company reported a comprehensive net loss in fiscal 2021, adding to the previous year's losses, which has necessitated the liquidation process to protect shareholders' interests.
