Activities
Sudan Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (SUDATEL) is a public company based in Khartoum (Sudan) and was established in September 1993. SUDATEL is listed on both the Khartoum Stock Exchange and the Abu Dhabi Stock Market (ADX). The company works as a bridge for telecommunication movement between the Arab world, Africa and the rest of the world. It was established as a public company following the privatization of the public telecom corporation, as the state was convinced of the public sectors failure in developing and managing this dynamic sector. Among the main achievements of the company is finding and assembling national fiber optics in a length of almost 7,000 km which covers Sudan stales, and frontier towns. The company together with its subsidiaries, engages in the installation, operation, and maintenance of telecommunication services; development of infrastructure; and also provides wire and wireless telecommunication services in the Republic of Sudan and other African countries. It operates through Data, Voice, and Wholesale segments. It has 11 subsidiaries operating across Sudan, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
