Activities
MBC Group, formerly known as Middle East Broadcasting Center (MBC), is a Saudi media conglomerate with a strong presence in the Middle East and North Africa region. MBC Group was founded on September 18, 1991 in London. The company initially operated from London, then moved its headquarters to Dubai in 2002, and most recently to Riyadh in 2022. MBC Group operates over 19 free-to-air satellite TV channels, covering a wide range of genres and interests. For instance: MBC 1, the first independent free-to-air pan-Arab channel, offering family entertainment. MBC 2, the first free-to-air movie channel in the Arab world physical, providing a continuous stream of Hollywood movies. Other channels include MBC 3, MBC 4, MBC Action, MBC Drama, MBC Max, MBC Bollywood, and more. The company's activity is information, communications, education, arts, and entertainment, which is in line with the main activities of the Group. Other activities mentioned in the company's CR includes television broadcasting activities, television activities, channel subscription programming activities, operating a satellite uplink service for the purposes of distributing visual and audio content, operating a satellite channel distribution and management platform via satellite receivers, and distributing live broadcasts via satellite.
