Zain KSA is a Saudi Arabian telecommunications and digital services company. It operates under the brand name Zain and is part of the Zain Group, a Kuwaiti telecommunications company. Mobile Telecommunications Company Saudi Arabia along with its subsidiaries, provides mobile telecommunication services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in which it operates, purchases, sells, distributes, delivers, installs, manages and maintains mobile telephone services and equipment. The Group also provides consulting services; constructs and repairs telecom towers; provides fintech services and provide technical drones services along with selling and repairing. The Company is a subsidiary of Mobile Telecommunications Company K.S.C.P. Kuwait (Zain Group). Zain Group ultimate parent company is Oman Telecommunications Company SAOG, Oman. Historically, Zain KSA was established on March 12, 2008, and commenced commercial operations in August 2008. It entered the market as the third telecom operator in Saudi Arabia after obtaining the necessary licenses from the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC). In September 2011, Zain KSA became the first operator in the Middle East to commercially launch a 4G/LTE network. In October 2019, it launched one of the largest 5G networks in the world. The company is headquartered in Granada Business Park, Riyadh. As of 2022, Zain KSA reported revenues of 9.1 billion Saudi riyals and total assets of 28.356 billion Saudi riyals. Zain Group holds a 37% stake in Zain KSA. Recently, Zain KSA achieved its highest revenues in history for the year 2023, amounting to 9.9 billion riyals. The company continues to expand its services and infrastructure, maintaining a significant presence in the Saudi telecommunications market.
