Dur Hospitality Co. is a publicly listed company (formerly known as the Saudi Hotels & Resorts Company SHARACO) and was established in 1976. It is an integrated hospitality company that owns, develops and manages a broad range of hospitality and residential properties across the kingdom. The company's businesses are structured into four main segments: hospitality, real estate, entertainment and management.It is one of the first companies to introduce five star hospitality services in the Kingdom and now owns, manages and operates a large portfolio of hotels and modern residential properties across the kingdom. The company has 14 subsidiaries operating across the country. Dur has designed its own hospitality brand, 'Makarem Hotels', dedicated exclusively to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. The company is engaged in the establishment, acquisition, management, and operation of hotels, restaurants, motels, rest houses, and entertainment centers. Dur is also involved in the ownership, development, and partition of land, the construction of buildings on them or putting them out for rent, and has investments in other companies, namely: Tabuk Hotels, Makkah Hotels, Al Nakheel Resorts, Madinah Hotels, Gulf Resorts, and Riyadh Hotels & Entertainment Company.
