Zain Kuwait's Corporate Affairs and Relations team has won the award for Best PR Team in the Private Sector at the Kuwait PR and Customer Service Awards, organized by the Kuwait Public Relations Association to honor organizations that have demonstrated outstanding performance in advancing PR and customer service practices and elevating corporate communications standards in line with clear professional foundations.
The honoring took place at a ceremony held at the Kuwait National Library, under the patronage of Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and attended by Dr Nasser Muhaisen, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, Jamal Al-Nasrallah, Chairman of the Kuwait Public Relations Association, alongside a group of PR and media executives and professionals from both the public and private sectors.
This recognition reflects the approach of Zain Kuwait's Corporate Affairs and Relations team, which goes beyond managing communications to leading the brand narrative and translating Zain's strategy into impactful stories and messages that build trust, reinforce Zain's presence as a national brand driving innovation, and create tangible impact in people's lives.
The award recognized the team's excellence in managing a large and diverse portfolio of high-impact initiatives that advance Zain's strategic objectives, from strengthening community partnerships and empowering youth, to accelerating innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems, and expanding media relations and effective internal communications. Across every stream of work, the team consistently delivers high-quality, brand-aligned outputs.
In 2025, the company achieved a series of standout milestones on its journey toward technology leadership and deeper community engagement, through a wide range of initiatives and projects supported by fully integrated media and advertising campaigns.
These included the launch of 5G-Advanced technology, winning 5 global Ookla Speedtest awards, and introducing MAX entertainment plans, alongside major community initiatives such as Khaleeji Zain 26, Dawri Zain, the Zain Al-Shuhoor Ramadan campaign, and the regional Zain Great Idea program for accelerating tech startups, among others.
As part of its commitment to developing the sector and fostering knowledge exchange, Zain also participated as the strategic partner of the International AI in PR and Customer Service Conference, which featured a rich program of specialized panel discussions.
During the conference, Waleed Al-Khashti, Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer at Zain Kuwait, took part in a panel titled Digital Transformation in PR and Media, where he highlighted the importance of digital transformation as a decisive factor in strengthening institutional credibility, as well as the need for speed, message consistency, and transparency. He also discussed the shift from simply "publishing news" to "shaping a narrative" across every touchpoint, from digital platforms to on-ground experiences and community events, supported by data and monitoring to better understand audience interests and turn insights into smarter communications decisions. In addition, he addressed how AI tools can enhance the readiness of PR and customer service teams in crisis management.
Zain affirmed that this recognition embodies its ongoing commitment to advancing the PR and customer service profession in Kuwait, supporting responsible digital transformation, and reinforcing more professional and transparent communication practices that keep pace with market expectations and the evolving media and technology landscape.
The conference served as a professional platform bringing together leaders, experts, academics, and specialists from the public and private sectors to explore the future of PR and customer service amid accelerating digital transformation, and to examine how AI can enhance operational efficiency, elevate the quality of experience, and develop tools for planning, content creation and impact measurement.
It also aimed to promote the exchange of expertise and the adoption of best practices and modern standards, contributing to improved service levels, a smoother customer journey, and concrete positive outcomes that support sustainable development.
