Bapco and Korean Gold Star Company will sign a Refinery Water Treatment Unit construction agreement next Thursday.
The $120 million facility aims at eliminating all chemical components in refinery cooling water as part of Bapco's efforts at preserving the environment and spreading greenery in Bahrain.
Bapco recently opened its Refinery Gas Desulphurisation Project RGDP last July at a cost of $150m in a bid to preserve the environment.
With the signing of the new agreement, Bapco will complete its environment compliance projects at a total cost over half a billion dollars as part of its ongoing commitment to preserve the environment and create a safe healthy environment for present and future generations within the objectives of the strategic Vision 2030 and as part of its unceasing efforts devoted to its award-winning environment profile which has won global recognition for its leading contributions and accomplishments in environment activities.
