As part of its Corporate Social and Economic Responsibility (CSER), Kuwait Financial Centre "Markaz" hosted a group of Bayan Bilingual School (BBS) senior students to explain to them how investment companies work within the larger picture of the economy and what educational qualifications and skills they would need to have a successful career in the investment sectors.

Manaf Alhajeri, Chief Executive Officer at "Markaz", met with BBS students and gave a brief talk about the Kuwaiti financial services sector role in the evolution of Kuwait's modern economy. He also touched on the local and global financial crises that occurred during the past decades, sheding light on the lessons and Morals learnt from them.

The students also listened to a brief history of Markaz since its establishment in 1974 and its contributions in opening new investment channels for investors in Kuwait and the region.

Markaz employees also answered the guests questions about the qualifactions and skills that new comers to the job market should acquire to have a successful career in the financial services sector. Markaz employees also emphasized the importance of professional ethics and compliance with corporate governance principles and internal controls to protect the interests of all stakeholders and ensure the healthiness of the business environment in sector.
