Gulf Bank announced the graduation of the first cohort of its Risk Management Academy, launched in collaboration with Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST), marking a step that reflects the Bank's firm commitment to developing national talent and enhancing professional capabilities in line with the rapid changes in the banking sector.

This initiative comes as part of Gulf Bank's strategy to invest in human capital as the cornerstone of achieving sustainable growth and fostering innovation in financial services. The Academy serves as a specialized educational platform aimed at preparing a new generation of experts in risk management-one of the most vital fields in the banking industry due to its pivotal role in safeguarding financial institutions and ensuring their stability.

On this occasion, Hamed Al-Tamimi, Acting General Manager of Human Resources at Gulf Bank, stated:"We are proud today to graduate the first cohort of the Risk Management Academy, which embodies our ongoing commitment to investing in Kuwaiti talent and building a strong base of human capital capable of contributing to the development of the future of the banking sector. This initiative is not merely a training program; it is a strategic step toward building qualified banking leaders who can confront global challenges in risk management."

Al-Tamimi added: "Our collaboration with Gulf University for Science and Technology has enabled us to deliver specialized, high-quality training that empowers Kuwaiti youth to play a pivotal role in strengthening the financial sector and supporting national economic growth. This stems from our firm commitment to implementing Gulf Bank's Vision 2030, which aims to empower national talent, foster innovation, and deliver sustainable value to customers, employees, and the community."

The program spans two weeks and combines academic learning with practical application through educational modules specially designed in collaboration with GUST. It includes interactive sessions and workshops led by a select group of risk management experts, covering various aspects of credit risk management, in addition to hands-on training and applied case studies.

Prior to the technical training, participants undergo a series of professional development workshops delivered by Gulf Bank trainers in the areas of communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, ensuring their preparation as well-rounded professionals capable of keeping pace with a modern, technology-driven work environment.

The launch of the Risk Management Academy is part of a broader set of initiatives adopted by Gulf Bank to enhance human development, in line with national development goals and Kuwait Vision 2035. The program also contributes to building a generation of banking leaders capable of addressing global economic challenges and applying best practices in risk management, thereby ensuring the sustainability of Kuwait's financial sector and strengthening its regional and global competitiveness.
