In a new step to help advance Kuwait's digital transformation and empower Kuwaiti talents, Burgan Bank launched a specialized training program to support Kuwait's Ministry of Interior (MoI) in meeting the demands of the digital era. The initiative is designed to prepare national talents to lead in technology and innovation, directly supporting the goals of Kuwait Vision 2035. During the three-month training program, Burgan Bank's digital transformation experts will mentor MoI employees on essential digital skills through 29 engaging, hands-on sessions.
On this occasion, Brigadier General Anwar Ahmed Al-Yatama, Head of the Human Resources and IT Sector at the MoI, said: "Guided by the vision of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, with the support of Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Major General Ali Misfer Al-Adwani, we are committed to propelling Kuwait toward a brighter future by advancing the path of digital transformation. Our objective is to empower national talents and enhance their digital competencies, thereby transforming the Ministry into a leading digital institution aligned with global best practices and the goals of New Kuwait Vision 2035.
As a frontline government institution, our success relies on serving our citizens and all residents of Kuwait swiftly, securely, and efficiently - all of which are core features of the digitization of government services. With the support of Burgan Bank digital transformation experts, this training program will play an integral role in equipping our staff with the mindset, skills and knowledge to lead the ministry's transformation journey."
Also commenting on the collaboration, Bashar Al-Qattan, Executive Manager - Learning and Development at Burgan Bank, said: "We are proud to share our digital transformation expertise with a government body as central as the Ministry of Interior. This program reflects Burgan Bank's commitment to developing national talent and contributing to Kuwait's progress toward Vision 2035. We fully believe that strengthening collaboration between the private and public sectors is essential to fast-tracking our country's development as both a regional economy and business hub - just as we are doing today."
On his part, Barrak Al-Mattar, General Manager - IT at Burgan Bank, said: "As a Bank, we fully believe in Kuwait's vision of establishing a digital-first economy. That is why we continue to invest heavily in adopting the latest technologies and training our people to use them effectively. In doing so, we've built deep insight into Kuwait's digital infrastructure and the market's readiness for transformation.
By sharing this knowledge with our partners, we ensure that our digital efforts are tailored to Kuwait's needs while supporting sustainable growth and innovation." Building on the Burgan Bank's market-leading learning and talent development program, this initiative is designed with participants' varying learning styles in mind, guaranteeing the highest degree of engagement, long-term benefit, and ability to become champions of digital transformation within their teams. Among the key areas that the training program will cover are software development, analytical thinking and problem-solving, and global best practices for designing secure applications.
Earlier this year, Burgan Bank launched the Data Champion internal bootcamp, a first-of-its-kind program in Kuwait designed to upskill employees from across Burgan Bank's departments with essential data analytics capabilities, enabling them to extract insights, drive smarter decisions and accelerate customer-centric innovation. This initiative, among many others, is a testament to Burgan Bank's robust digital transformation strategy and forward-thinking approach to extending its expertise to other institutions across Kuwait.
