Beyon, Batelco by Beyon win big at Gitex Global 2025 Awards

Bahrain's leading telecom groups Beyon and Batelco by Beyon have been recognised with two prestigious accolades at the MEA Technology Achievement Awards 2025, held during Gitex Global 2025 expo at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Batelco by Beyon was presented with the New Product/Service Launch Achievement Award in the Telecom category, in recognition of the successful launch of Batelco's Voya Roaming eSIM, a customer-centric digital solution setting new standards in regional connectivity.

Beyon received the ESG Excellence Achievement Award acknowledging its exceptional accomplishments in the field of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).

The award highlights Beyon's commitment to advancing sustainability initiatives across its operations, including the introduction of robotic cleaning at Beyon's Solar Parks, the implementation of off-grid mobile sites with smart inverter cooling, and the launch of its 'Recycling it Right' programme to tackle equipment waste.

Beyon Chief Communications and Sustainability Officer, Shaikh Bader bin Rashid Al Khalifa and Batelco Chief Technology Officer Rashid Mohamed received the awards from Ken Mitchen, Executive Director and Publisher of MEA Business, at a ceremony held at Beyon's Stand.

Commenting on the ESG Excellence Achievement Award, Shaikh Bader said: "We are proud to be recognised for our achievements in ESG, which reflect Beyon's strong commitment to responsible growth and sustainable innovation. This award is a testament to the passion and effort of our teams who continue to embed sustainability into every aspect of our business."

Batelco Chief Technology Officer Rashid Mohamed received the MEA new product launch award for Voya eSIM at the event.

"The launch of VOYA eSIM reflects the company's vision to provide seamless, digital-first experiences for customers and it is an honour to receive this recognition from MEA Business. This accolade reinforces Batelco by Beyon's commitment to delivering solutions that enrich the way people stay connected," he added.

The MEA Technology Achievement Awards celebrate innovation and excellence across the ICT and telecom sectors, recognising organisations and leaders who are driving meaningful progress and transformation in the region.
