Kuwait Finance House (KFH) takes part in the annual "Innovation Challenge 2018" event organized by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) in collaboration with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

This prestigious event is tailored for companies in Kuwait's private sector in efforts to foster innovation capability to keep abreast of rapid developments while coping with today's fastpaced converging world. "Innovation is the cornerstone of comprehensive development and business sustainability, which urges KFH to take part in such important events in an attempt to raise the bar for employees, enhance their expertise and unleash the power of their innovation", said Group Chief Human Resources Officer at KFH, Frederick Jacobus Carstens.

He added, in a press release, that the "Innovation Challenge 2018" program is divided into three modules hosted in Kuwait and in UCLA campus taught over a period of 4 months. It is cen-tered on the use of innovation to respond to real-world business challenges. Throughout the program teams are required to spend an estimated 5 hours a week on deliverables including innovation readings, project work and assignments.

Meanwhile, Group Chief Retail and Private Banking Officer at KFH, Waleed Mandani said "It is of great importance to us at KFH to take advantage of this unique training opportunity to develop innovation capabilities and to deliver superior innovation and customer service excellence as part of KFH mission." KFH candidates for this edition are: Abdullah Al-Qadaibi- Real Estate Finance, Faleh Al-Bader- Corporate Financing Risk and Saleh Al-Shaya- Large Corporate Banking.
