Saudi-based Alhani Construction & Trading, Saudi Arabia has announced that work is in full swing at the landmark Aramco Stadium project in Al Khobar in the kingdom's Eastern Province and is on track for timely completion ahead of major upcoming events, including the AFC Asia Cup 2027 and Saudi Arabia FIFA World Cup 2034.

The project is being implemented in collaboration with Besix Construct-Albawani Joint Venture (SBJV) and in partnership with client Aramco.

Since beginning works in 2025, Alhani Construction & Trading has been leading the comprehensive fit-out scope for the stadium - an advanced facility designed to host more than 45,000 spectators, said the company in its LinkedIn post.

Built to meet FIFA standards, the project is also targeting LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certification, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and modern engineering excellence, it stated.

Alhani is contributing to the delivery of a world-class venue that will stand as a symbol of national pride and support Saudi Arabia's rising presence in global sports, it added.

"The stadium is masterfully designed by internationally acclaimed architecture firm Populous and is being developed under a fast-track delivery scheme to ensure timely completion ahead of the mega FIFA World Cup 2034," said a company spokesman.

"This milestone marks a significant step toward realising a venue that will elevate the kingdom's sports infrastructure and enrich the region with an iconic destination for international competitions, local sports development, and community engagement," he added.
